The platters double as a deck picnic table piece or an electronic charging station - just throw your cell phones, iPads etc in platter with a bean bag to hold the cords.

This is a large freeform bowl/platter that was made in a slump mold. This slump mold was a round hole cut in a piece of plywood. I set a large enough piece of 1/4 inch clay over it and let it sink in. When it was firm I etched on a design and used tiny brushes to enter glaze. It was fired twice, Cone 3 and Cone 06.
